Description Sjoerd Mullender 2013-04-18 09:22:56 UTC
Description of problem:
The provided config file to get mediawiki119 up and running with httpd (/etc/httpd/conf.d/mediawiki119.conf) suggests to have the alias for /wiki/mw-config *after* the alias for /wiki. If this is done in reality, the mw-config alias won't be used by httpd. This would result in not being able to configure mediawiki when it is first installed.
I would suggest reordering the config file and putting the mw-config alias before the other aliases.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mediawiki119-1.19.3-3.fc18.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install and uncomment entries in /etc/httpd/conf.d/mediawiki119.conf
2.go to localhost/wiki119
3.click on configuration link

Actual results:
New page looking lots like first page but without the mediawiki logo.

Expected results:
Page on which to start configuring mediawiki.

Additional info:
Why is there a mediawiki119 if mediawiki itself is now also on 1.19? Maybe that is a question to ask the maintainers of mediawiki (why did they upgrade?).

Comment 1 Patrick Uiterwijk 2013-04-19 08:59:04 UTC
The mediawiki119 package is primarily used for the Fedora Infrastructure, or people running servers that should not be upgraded to the latest version as soon as it is packaged.
Please note that the F18 branch for mediawiki119 is deprecated, and only the EPEL-6 branch remains.

Comment 2 Patrick Uiterwijk 2013-05-03 08:53:15 UTC
The fix has been added to the el6 git branch, and will be applied in the next update.
