Description Germano Massullo (Thetra) 2013-04-18 14:00:41 UTC
Description of problem:
In Eclipse, in a Dynamic web project, when you go through project properties and you select "project facets" you don't have JPA entry.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
eclipse-wtp-jpa-3.4.0-2.fc18.noarch

Comment 1 Gerard Ryan 2013-05-14 20:18:19 UTC
Hi Germano, thanks for the report. In the Fedora package, we're not currently building all of the parts of eclipse-wtp-jpa, because of missing stuff. I created this package originally because I needed some of the stuff that it is possible to build as a dependency for other packages.

I'll leave this open, and hopefully I'll have some time to look into it and fix it soon!

Ok thank you!

Comment 3 Gerard Ryan 2013-10-12 15:27:02 UTC
Hi Germano,

I've just created a new update to version 3.5.1 of this package, which will be available in Fedora 19 and 20 testing repositories very soon.

I've had a look, and there is a JPA entry now under project facets. I'm not sure if the option was there for version 3.5.0, I forgot to check before I updated. Can you tell me if you're still not seeing it?

If you can't see it in 3.5.0, you should be able to see it in 3.5.1 anyway. I'll add this bug to the update, so a notification will be created here when it's available in the fedora-testing repository, and also when it's pushed to stable.

Let me know if you have any other problems with it.

Thanks and regards,
Gerard.

The yum command in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=953572#c5 says that those packages are not avaible. Downloading the packages from https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-19023/eclipse-wtp-jsf-3.5.1-1.fc19,eclipse-wtp-jpa-3.5.1-1.fc19,eclipse-wtp-jeetools-3.5.1-1.fc19,eclipse-wtp-webservices-3.5.1-1.fc19,eclipse-wtp-sourceediting-3.5.1-1.fc19,eclipse-wtp-servertools-3.5.1-1.fc19 and trying to install them with
rpm -Uvh results in a failure due missing eclipse-wtp-common >= 3.5.1

Comment 7 Gerard Ryan 2013-10-14 17:03:20 UTC
Oh yeah, I had pushed eclipse-wtp-common in a different update ticket before I realised that I should have them all in one. You can see that here: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-19003/eclipse-wtp-common-3.5.1-1.fc19?_csrf_token=1a68a762ccbf6a479f1cf4c9d797605c7e7bcf09

I don't know why it's saying that the packages are not available, I guess it's just that your closest mirror hadn't synced the latest updates at that point. If you try again, you may have better luck, or if not, you can get the missing package from the url above.

Thanks!
