This bug was reported upstream at: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699022 and was fixed in git master with commit e87a8ab6a1c32d09825f61c49bee75abc27265af. I will add the patch to the 2.1.8 update in bug 951265.
