Description of problem: I've got an enormous tree of files that I'd like to hardlink, but, due to design choices beyond my control, not all identical files should be hardlinked. Some files currently have the same content, but may not in the future. I know what files I can always link, it would be nice to be able to specify. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): hardlink-1.0-17 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. svn co <path to devel instance> . 2. svn co <path to production instance> . 3. notice I'm low on disk space 4. which I could hardlink some files easily. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Thank you for the report. At this moment, I have one proposal for content exclusion, see bug 833773. A patch for that already exists and if necessary, I can push it basically any time. Unfortunately I'm sorry to say that I have no plans for a granularity finer than what the bug 833773 requests. However feel free to implement it and send a patch, I'll be happy to review it and put it to dist-git if it's ok.
I'll see about coding up a patch, the scratch build has expired for bug 833773 and the patch isn't attached to that bug. Any chance I can get a copy of the -x patch attached to bug 833773 so I can see how it is done and follow suit from there?
I have uploaded the patch, take a look.
