Description Leslie Satenstein 2013-04-26 17:00:18 UTC
Description of problem:

Default shown is America New York
I wish to set city to Montreal. Scrolling does not work
On second attempt after wrong scroll, country has changed, and scrolling does not work
Only method to correct input is to manually reselect country, and manually key-in city.

I reported this for RC1 (Could not find my entry in bugzilla)
This problem was repaired for Fedora test Alpha RC4.

Anaconda is using a non-updated version

After further testing, this may still be a bug, or may be caused by too much enhancement to the display.

We can set the country, city via the two roller (scroll boxes) at the top, but if we are doing North America, the scroll area overlaps with the graphical imaage below it.

If we click on the graphical image, it deems this as a selection, and resets the scroll area (country and city).

The scroll widgets for me are America New York, when I open the window. If I click on City, I expect the scroll area to center on the selected city (New York), and to allow me to scroll upwards to choose Montreal.

Instead, the city selection starts at Antigua.

Should the GUI display be output only? With only scrolling working.

If I use the GUI, I can enter my City.

The problem with scrolling is a bug in the Gtk library. I'm reassigning this bug to the gtk3 component.

The general problem is that the combobox with a lot of items cannot be scrolled (there used to be arrows at the top and at the bottom, but they no longer appear).

The Fedora 19 TC4.1 (May 17th release) still has the problem. Reminder, in just over 1 month, there will be a go-live for F19

Comment 4 Leslie Satenstein 2013-05-30 21:03:00 UTC
The problem is still not resolved.
How to test
Choose a country (My default was America)
Choose a city. I chose Montreal.
exit
And return if the choice was wrong.

The scroll list will probably have your cursor showing the cities beginning with A.

Attempt to scroll past the city shown in the bottom of the screen to arrive at Montreal.

Comment 5 Leslie Satenstein 2013-05-30 21:04:00 UTC
The problem is not a show stopper, but it is in the F19RC1

Comment 6 Russ Anderson 2013-06-24 20:28:08 UTC
This is still a problem in FC19-TC5. It may not be a show stopper, but re-enforces the perception that the new Anaconda is still not ready for prime time.

Comment 7 Adam Williamson 2013-11-21 02:24:00 UTC
Still valid in 20 Final TC2.

vpodzime: have you filed this upstream? It might make progress faster.

Comment 9 Matthias Clasen 2013-11-21 13:13:22 UTC
Benjamin is looking into combo box issues currently.
