Description Marko Myllynen 2013-04-30 07:27:45 UTC
Description of problem:
PCPIntro(1) and pmns(4) state the following:

A node label must begin with an alphabetic character, followed by zero
or more characters drawn from the alphabetics, the digits and character
`_ยด (underscore). For alphabetic characters in a node label, upper and
       lower case are distinguished.

However, pmiAddMetric(3) accepts names with hyphen which is syntactically significant in some of the tools, like pmie(1).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pcp-3.6.10-2.el6.x86_64
