Description Dan Mashal 2013-05-03 18:11:32 UTC
root password is shown when being typed during installation

this is a security issue. please undo this change or add an icon to show the password.

if the password is "insecure" it is reaveled again

Reopening this. I haven't seen a single paper advocating for this or even a single software do what Anaconda is doing here. Sometimes, you have an option to show passwords and that would be a nice thing to have and mobile UI might show one character at a time when typing (but only because it is very easy to mistype in a cramped screen) but there is no precedent for showing the entire password when the widget is focused. Please rethink this. Thanks

This bug was originally a dupe of the other one, not sure if you intended to reopen this one.
