Comment 2 Josh Boyer 2013-07-02 15:18:49 UTC
Are you still seeing this with 3.9.8 or newer? If so, please attach the output of dmesg.

Comment 3 Josh Boyer 2013-07-24 18:54:03 UTC
This bug is being closed with INSUFFICIENT_DATA as there has not been a response in 2 weeks. If you are still experiencing this issue, please reopen and attach the relevant data from the latest kernel you are running and any data that might have been requested previously.

Comment 4 Leho Kraav 2013-09-06 15:41:29 UTC
I'm seeing the same thing with a smartcart reader when it's transmitting data.

Comment 5 Leho Kraav 2013-09-06 15:42:07 UTC
Snap, pressed Save too fast. Kernel is 3.10.8.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 18 kernel bugs.

Fedora 18 has now been rebased to 3.11.4-101.fc18. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 19, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 19.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale.

It has been over a month since we asked you to test the 3.11 kernel updates and let us know if your issue has been resolved or is still a problem. When this happened, the bug was set to needinfo. Because the needinfo is still set, we assume either this is no longer a problem, or you cannot provide additional information to help us resolve the issue. As a result we are closing with insufficient data. If this is still a problem, we apologize, feel free to reopen the bug and provide more information so that we can work towards a resolution

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

I'm still seeing this on 4.13.0-0.rc2.git0.1.fc27.x86_64. I will attach dmesg shortly.

I see exactly the same thing when inserting a YubiKey 4. At least once every second a message, sometimes muliple per second:

Sep 17 13:09:25 marchost kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: WARN Event TRB for slot 8 ep 4 with no TDs queued?
Sep 17 13:09:25 marchost kernel: xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: WARN Event TRB for slot 8 ep 4 with no TDs queued?
etc.

This started after installing package opensc-0.16.0-2.20161016git0362439.fc25.x86_64, which I apparently need to have my key act as a visible certificate store (security device) within firefox. Another symptom is that the light of the key is continuously on. The messages and continuous light were not present before installing opensc.

sorry, this is on Fedora 25, kernel

Comment 13 James 2018-01-13 01:26:30 UTC
I see this on Intel chipsets. No problems with Renesas.

Comment 14 Jason Fonseca 2018-01-19 16:39:18 UTC
I see this issue on RHEL 7.4 running on systems with the Intel 8/C220 Series Chipset. The kernel version is 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64 but the issues occurs on earlier kernels. I believe this patch addresses the issue, but have not had a chance to test it.

Also in CentOS 7.5.1804 with kernel 3.10.0-862.11.6.el7.x86_64.

I saw this error message when I plugged in a wifi dongle (idVendor=148f, idProduct=5370) to an external USB hub, but when I plugged into the root hub exposed on the motherboard the device loaded fine.

Sorry, running RHEL 7.5, kernel 3.10.0-862.9.1.el7.x86_64

Comment 18 Jason Fonseca 2019-01-10 19:02:08 UTC
For us, under RHEL 7, this issue was fixed with the kernel-3.10.0-957.el7.x86_64 update.
