Description of problem: Yao Jin @ Intel released not so long ago numatop Now it's a question if we should included it in the numactl package or it's own separated package never the less let's get it into Fedora so "Shak" and the rest of RHEL performance team have some new tool to talk about at the summit ;) https://01.org/numatop https://github.com/01org/numatop Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Created attachment 745200 [details] SRPM for numatop in it's own package
Note that I have still yet to hear from Yao with regards to license on this ( unless Intel open source technology center has an default license for all the code there ). I just threw in GPLv2 to successfully build the package
Created attachment 745228 [details] SRPM for numatop in it's own package Now with correct licensing
Johann, in case you want a new package in Fedora you have to follow the process described there: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_Review_Process I don't think it is a good idea to merge two upstream projects into one Fedora package. The merge should be done in upstream first. Anton
