Hi. (Hope this doesn't belong to virt-manager,... if so please reassign.) There's already support to mark a virtual network interface to "auto-start", which is however AFAIU, "start/stop it during system boot/shutdown". What I'd like to see is a "start/stop on demand"... in the sense of, when I star a VM that needs the iface, start it before,... when I stop a VM (and not other VM needs that iface) stop it as well. Thanks, Chris.
Seems like a reasonable request... infact adding some kind of mode like this and using it for the default virtual network would possibly solve some of the IP collisions when libvirt is running in a VM
