Description Stef Walter 2013-05-09 08:02:54 UTC
If Ctrl-C when discovering, a journalctl command is printed, which indicates an error.

Cancellation should be pretty quiet and simple, without any details needed:

[stef@stef ~]$ realm discover blah.com
^CCancelling...
See: journalctl REALMD_OPERATION=r15496.22718
realm: Couldn't discover realms: Operation was cancelled.

Comment 1 Stef Walter 2013-05-09 08:37:12 UTC
Ditto for cancellation of an policy kit prompt:

[stef@stef ~]$ realm permit 'BORG\Administrator'
See: journalctl REALMD_OPERATION=r17703.26640
realm: Couldn't change permitted logins: Not authorized to perform this action

Comment 2 Kaushik Banerjee 2013-05-09 09:08:48 UTC
I see this too with realmd-0.14.0-1

# realm discover --client-software=freeipa sssdad.com
See: journalctl REALMD_OPERATION=r6942.5187
realm: No such realm found: sssdad.com

Comment 3 Stef Walter 2013-05-09 12:53:46 UTC
[stef@thinker src]$ realm join borg.thewalter.lan
See: journalctl REALMD_OPERATION=r604.2503
realm: Already joined to this domain
