Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 962022
At exit from top cursor is not at the bottom in screen
Last modified: 2016-01-31 20:58:24 EST
Description of problem:
If exiting from top with q, the cursor does not go to the bottom.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start screen (this disables screen clearing at exit)
2. run top
3. quit top with q
Screen corrupted by shell prompt
Cursor positioned to the bottom line for exit
Started happening in procps-ng-3.3.7-1.fc20
Last known good version procps-ng-3.3.6-4.fc19
This is not a big issue, because the corruption usually ends in the
empty line (but not always).
I can reproduce the issue here.
Thanks for reporting this. I'm gonna ask Jim Warner and let you know.
Could you please test the latest build? (procps-ng-3.3.7-4.fc20)
Please, let me know.
Thanks and regards,
Verified fixed. Works under screen and raw gnome-terminal.
