Video of the screen flash appearing when taking a photo

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cheese-3.8.0-1.fc19.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
 1. Obtain supported webcam (uvc, gspcav2 drivers)
 2. Plug in and turn on (if necessary) the webcam
 3. Install package cheese if missing
 4. Run Cheese
 5. Set Cheese to the "Photo" tab if needed

 1. Click Take a Photo

Actual results:
The photo is taken, but the screen flash appears and will stay permanently until the user exits the application. The screen flash is grey, and should normally be white.

Additional notes: Everything is still usable, but the cheese program is a full-screen grey rectangle.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. You seem to have 2 different issues:
1) The cheese flash screen is dark grey rather then white. I can confirm this, and the cheese-3.8.2-3.fc19 update on its way to Fedora 19 fixes this.

2) "the screen flash appears and will stay permanently", this likely is an issue with the graphics driver for your video card. If you still see this with a fully up2date system please file a bug against mesa for this.

Regards,

Hans
