RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Richard W.M. Jones 2013-05-23 08:04:16 UTC
Description of problem:

$ ls -1
rhel-7.0 <----
sap-rhel-5.10
sap-rhel-5.8
sap-rhel-5.9
sap-rhel-6.3

vhostmd is not for general consumption. It should be in the
SAP channel in RHEL 7 too.

Comment 2 Richard W.M. Jones 2013-05-23 10:21:01 UTC
Frank, any comment on what we should do with vhostmd in RHEL 7?

Comment 3 Frank Danapfel 2013-05-23 10:42:16 UTC
There should be a separate "RHEL for SAP" channel for RHEL7 by which the specific packages for SAP like vhostmd/vm-dump-metrics, compat-locales-sap*, etc. are distributed (the same way we already do it for RHEL5 and RHEL6).

However I'm not familiar with the process for getting this channel created for RHEL7.

Comment 4 Siddharth Nagar 2013-05-23 18:25:30 UTC
We have not finalized content set and channels. These packages will continue to be made available in base for the time being. This is to be expected for where we are in the development cycle.

Comment 5 Anne Mascarin 2013-08-15 14:43:58 UTC
Siddharth - I am opening this again for RHEL 7.0...I know there has been a lot of discussion on the RHEL for SAP packaging, I want to keep this open for visibility.

Comment 6 Richard W.M. Jones 2013-11-19 09:00:16 UTC
I believe it has now been decided that vhostmd should be
in base RHEL (starting with 6.5 / 7.0). In that case this
bug should indeed be closed NOTABUG.
