Description mejiko 2013-05-26 09:53:24 UTC
Hello.

Sqlite license is public domain, no copyright restriction.

License URI:

https://www.sqlite.org/copyright.html

but Sqlite documentation license is unclear. Its not "code", this is document.

I think that this documant is not public domain, Its non-free and not distributable.

If "code" including "document", Its no problem (This document is public domain), I closed this bug.

If this document is not public domain, I suggest that:

1. Remove document and rebuild.

2. replace fedora free (acceptable licensed) documents.

3. contact upstream author.

4. Remove fedora repos.

Thanks.

Blocking FE-Legal, This is license problem.

Comment 2 Jan Staněk 2013-05-28 13:37:25 UTC
From my communication with upstream:

> Many years ago, there were pieces of documentation of unknown provenance.
> But all of that has been removed now. The SQLite documentation, as with
> the SQLite source code, is public domain. We have in our firesafe signed
> affidavits from all documentation authors releasing their work into the
> public domain.

Also the page http://www.sqlite.org/copyright.html has been changed to reflect current status.
