Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Og Maciel 2013-06-02 22:41:35 UTC
Description of problem:

I created a new user via Katello UI with the Administrator role assigned to it. I then logged out from Katello UI and logged back in as the new super user. Trying to create new users and organizations succeeded from Katello but several error messages were displayed as shown below:

Failed to perform additional action KatelloForemanEngine::Actions::UserCreate: 403 Forbidden

2. Log out and log back in as the new super user
3. Try to create new users and organizations

This is pretty old -- could QA verify if this is still an issue?

Comment 5 Mike McCune 2013-11-01 18:40:30 UTC
Definitely still an issue, tested on MDP2, SNAP8:

Failed to perform additional action KatelloForemanEngine::Actions::UserCreate: 403 Forbidden

that said, lets just punt this since it is being addressed directly in MDP3 with the Engine work.

Comment 6 Dominic Cleal 2014-05-20 11:38:03 UTC
Subject to bug #868910 being outstanding, this should otherwise work for deleting users other than the admin user.

Comment 7 Corey Welton 2014-05-21 20:27:05 UTC
Verified in Satellite-6.0.3-RHEL-6-20140520.2 - newly created user with admin privs can CRUD user/orgs, etc. I gave this a good once-over, if we find other areas where a newly-created admin account does not work, we'll create a new, specific bz.

Comment 8 Bryan Kearney 2014-07-02 14:09:09 UTC
This was delivered in 6.0.3, the Beta version of Satellite 6.0

Comment 9 Bryan Kearney 2014-07-02 14:09:09 UTC
This was delivered with 6.0.3, which is the Satellite 6 Beta.
