This bug prevent color calibration for me, thus preventing serious photo work.
Same problem here. Everything worked flawlessly in Fedora 17, while in Fedora 19 I cannot calibrate my monitor with a Gretag-Macbeth AG - Eye-One display
This is the result of colormgr get-sensor-reading lcd :
Sensor: Gretag-Macbeth AG - Eye-One display
spotread exited unexpectedly
I have had 2 of these crashes in F20.
The first when I interrupted my first calibration run and tried to run again from the same control center instance.
The second after it failed (color calibration didn't prevent the screensaver from kicking in...) and I tried to start a new calibration.
I will try to work on the other screen this time around to see if it completes a run as long as I keep the screensaver busy.
My calibrator is a "ID 5986:0266 Acer, Inc"
Similar problems with ColorMunki. I colord also crashed. I have raised a report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1026727 about this.
I am now running 1.1.5-0.481.20131210git.fc20 of colord on a Beta release of Fedora 20. This problem still occurs using my colormunki after 973792 was fixed but only under specific circumstances.
If you attempt to calibrate you monitor then there are no problems. However if you attempt to recalibrate it then this problem occurs, until the USB cable is disconnected and then reconnected. After this it works.
This is true even if you just cancel out of the calibration process for any reason. To test it I started the calibration process until requested to put the colormunki on the screen. At this point I cancelled the calibration and immediately restarted it.
The subsequent crash is shown as a duplicate of this bug by ABRT
This also is affecting me (directed here by ABRT). Let me know if there is any additional information that i can add.
This was working of Fedora 20 Beta in December for me, but has failed this time.
Using a Huey Pro.

Still does not work for me at all. If I restart a calibration it crashes. But even starting completely fresh the calibration always fails when nearing completion.
I have now tested on gnome 3.12 preview from the copr, and it is still the same.
I am unable to calibrate my monitor in F20, I have all of the most recent control-centre, gnome-color-manager and colord packages, also the lcm2 and argyllcms packages too.
I am using a Color Munki Photo device, it is correctly recognised and the Calibrate button becomes active but clicking Done after the cal finishes leads to a crash and abrt launch.
This message is a notice that Fedora 19 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 19. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now this bug will
be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '19'.
Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.
Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 19 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.
Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 19 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-01-06. Fedora 19 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.
If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
