Description of problem: Running software update on Fedora 17 won't update Compiz. Instead, it produces a pop-up window with this message: ERROR with transaction check vs depsolve: compiz = 0.9.5.92.1-0.2.gite676f1b12eb8db3a76978eed5bfc7c2cf9a0b6ce.fc16 is needed by compiz-gtk-0.9.5.92.1-0.2.gite676f1b12eb8db3a76978eed5bfc7c2cf9a0b6ce.fc16.x86_64 Please report this error at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora&version=rawhide&component=yum This is on a host with a Geforce card and the official NVidia drivers, although I don't know if that matters.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17. Fedora 17 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-07-30. Fedora 17 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
