png file of panic

Description of problem:

   kernel-3.9.5-201.fc18.x86_64 panics on start-up.

FWIW -- I can't boot into kernel-3.9.4-200.fc18.x86_64 either; it presents a similar, but not exact hang.

So far, the most recent kernel that I can boot into is:

   kernel-3.9.2-200.fc18.x86_64.

(This occurring on our standard issue lenovo T520 w/ the Core i7 vPro)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Perform a yum update or a manual install of kernel-3.9.5-201.fc18.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum update or rpm install of kernel-3.9.5-201.fc18.x86_64
2.
3.

Actual results:

   Hang/Panic

Expected results:

   A successful boot

Do you have an initramfs file in /boot for this kernel? What size is it?

Please attach your grub configuration file.

Hey Josh -- hope this finds you well. I'm marking closed b/c I found the issue. (Freakin' Ovirt strikes again!)

Even-though I had all 3 kernel's configs, maps, and vmlinuz'z -- of course I was missing initramfs's.

Wasn't able to gen using dracut -- until I remembered that i did some ovirt testing months ago on this box.

For those that find this thread here's the fix (in the case of the past 2 kernels prior to this one):

# rmdir /lib/dracut/modules.d/91ovirtnode*
# dracut /boot/initramfs-3.9.4-200.fc18.x86_64.img 3.9.4-200.fc18.x86_64
# dracut /boot/initramfs-3.9.5-201.fc18.x86_64.img 3.9.5-201.fc18.x86_64
