Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 976306
PHP 5.5.0 final
Last modified: 2013-06-29 14:18:25 EDT
PHP 5.5.0 final is realeased.
Due to late upstream roadmap this only occurs now.
php 5.5.0-0.10.RC3 currently in base repository doesn't use non-free json extension (but requires php-pecl-jsonc package instead) but non-free sources still included in the source RPM.
So it will be great to have in F19 final release (repo and ISO)
php-5.5.0-1.fc19 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 19.
Discussed at 2013-06-20 freeze exception review meeting: http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2013-06-20/f19final-blocker-review-7.1.2013-06-20-15.01.log.txt . Accepted as a freeze exception, assuming our understanding of the description is correct - the PHP .src.rpm (not our binary packages) had non-free code in it, and this update removes it. We agree that it would be nice to ensure the base f19 repo does not include any non-free source, even if we're not actually compiling/using it.
