Created attachment 769047 [details] vmcore from kdump Description of problem: Repeatable kernel oops when a KVM Windows 7 guest shutsdown. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel 3.9.8-300.fc19 qemu 1.4.2-4.fc19 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Startup Windows 7 KVM guest 2. Shutdown 3. Actual results: Kernel oops: repeatable and always in timer.c/729 Expected results: VM will shutdown gracefully Additional info: This only happens with the Windows 7 guest. Fedora 19 and CentOS guests shutdown and reboot normally. The Windows 7 domain is attached. The Windows guest uses all virtio drivers and RedHat QXL Spice driver from virtio-win-1.6.3-3
Created attachment 769048 [details] libvirt domain definition of guest that causes the Oops during shutdown This guest will cause a repeatable kernel oops on shutdown. The guest functions normally prior to shutdown. In fact all guest device drivers are working: virtio net, blk, balloon, spice channels; spice qxl; audio works The guest was working fine on Fedora 18 and could shutdown gracefully.
Rebooted into Fedora 18: kernel 3.9.6-200.fc18 qemu 1.2.2-13.fc18 Guest works and shutdowns normally.
Created attachment 769050 [details] dmesg from kernel oops (untainted kernel) Tainted module wl.ko was blacklisted at boot. Same result - oops on VM guest shutdown.
