Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 981913
Moust pointer moves erratically and / or disappears when laptop is plugged-in
Last modified: 2013-08-19 20:08:25 EDT
Description of problem:
I only experience this problem on my Thinkpad x220t with Intel graphics. The mouse pointer appears and works just fine when the laptop is running on battery power and is not connected to the power supply, but when the laptop is connected to the power supply, the mouse pointer will sometimes move erratically or will just disappear entirely.
This may occur within moments of connecting the power supply, or it may occur 20-30 minutes later. It will even occur if I've left the mouse pointer idle for some time (e.g., if I'm syncing some files over rsync and leave the computer alone for a while).
The only way to bring the mouse pointer back is to either logout/log back in, or to reboot.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 19 with GNOME 3.8.2
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on PC
2. Connect laptop to the power supply
3. Use the computer until the mouse pointer disappears
Mouse pointer disappears
Mouse pointer should remain visible
