Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 98746
Gnome-panel hangs when adding disk mounter applet
Last modified: 2007-04-18 12:55:32 EDT
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030423
Description of problem:
When adding the disk mounter applet, the panel hangs. Doing a killall -SIGHUP
gnome-panel, fixes the panel. But still no disk mounter.
The applet worked a few days ago, but not anymore, don't know why. Stopped X,
deleted .gnome .gnome2 .gconf .gconfd .metacity directories and started X again,
but no luck.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-panel-126.96.36.199-9 , gnome-applets-2.2.0-8
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add Disk mounter applet to panel.
2. Panel hangs.
3. killall -SIGHUP gnome-panel
4. Return to no. 1
Actual Results: The panel hangs. Does not respond to input.
Expected Results: Well, a nice little button should appear.
Sorry about this, fixed with a reboot. Shame on me....
