Description of problem:
The LaTeX package "listings" is out of date.

THe version Red Hat 9.0 ships is old and produces bugs with latex documents 
including this package.

The author of the Package Carsten Heinz has newer versions.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a latex document including listings
2. use the line numbering option in a listings fragment
3. Execute latex on the latex document    

Actual Results:  LaTex errors

Expected Results:  A dvi document
