Description of problem: If a non-US (i.e., non-QWERTY) layout is chosen during installation, the GDM screen and user accounts typically default to the chosen layout, but the text-mode console (reached via CTRL-ALT-F2, for example) still uses the default US layout. I'm not certain whether this is a problem with GDM or with the installation programs. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): GDM 3.6.2 / Gnome Shell 3.6.3.1 How reproducible: Easily Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set default keyboard layout to something non-US (e.g., French or English-Dvorak) during installation 2. Reboot, etc., and log in (GDM should use the chosen layout) 3. Press CTRL-ALT-F2 to go to a text-only console 4. Type user name Actual results: Layout is English-US (US standard layout). Expected results: Layout is same as system default (e.g., French or English-Dvorak). Additional info: Possibly related to Bug 816554. Also could be related to Bug 881624.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 18.
