Description Tim Cross 2000-03-02 07:33:06 UTC
According to the identd man page, the daemon can be
run either via inetd or from init (or inetd) if it is
built with threading support. If it has threading
support and started from inetd you can use the -l
swith and the wait option. The entry in inetd.conf
in 6.1 has the -l switch but also nowait instead of
wait. I guess either the -l swith should be removed
or nowait changed to wait (assumeing it has been
built with thread support).

this is fixed as of the beta, as identd runs standalone,
and the inetd.conf entry is commented out.
