This message is a notice that Fedora 19 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 19. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '19'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 19 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 32 development cycle. Changing version to 32.
Is this still an issue? I looked at the last builds of fpc andskychart and see some warnings, but dwz compression seems to work fine. Warning, not replacing comp_dir '/builddir/build/BUILD/fpcbuild-3.2.0/fpcsrc/utils/' prefix ('/builddir/build/BUILD/fpcbuild-3.2.0' -> '/usr/src/debug/fpc-3.2.0-2.fc33.x86_64') encoded as DW_FORM_string. Replacement too large. nm: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/fpc-3.2.0-2.fc33.x86_64/usr/bin/unihelper: no symbols nm: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/fpc-3.2.0-2.fc33.x86_64/usr/bin/webidl2pas: no symbols nm: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/fpc-3.2.0-2.fc33.x86_64/usr/bin/unitdiff: no symbols nm: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/fpc-3.2.0-2.fc33.x86_64/usr/lib64/fpc/3.2.0/ppcx64: no symbols original debug info size: 76176kB, size after compression: 74676kB Warning, not replacing comp_dir '/builddir/build/BUILD/skychart-4.3-4238-src/skychart/component/vo/' prefix ('/builddir/build/BUILD/skychart-4.3-4238-src' -> '/usr/src/debug/skychart-4.3-4.4238svn.fc34.x86_64') encoded as DW_FORM_string. Replacement too large. original debug info size: 150164kB, size after compression: 145536kB It would be nice to fix those warnings, but that would be best done on the golang side. Encoding the comp_dir as DW_FORM_string is somewhat inefficient because the comp dir is most of the times the same. So encoding it as DW_FORM_strp would make it possible to share that string. For fpc you might want to look at why those binaries don't seem to contain any symbols (missing -g?)
From my point of view, this is fixed. About the warnings, I'm using '-gw3' option, I can try with '-gw2' or '-gw4' if you think it could make any difference.

Fedora 32 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2021-05-25. Fedora 32 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
