Right now, Fedora includes quite a few bookmarks in a default Firefox install. This creates a few issues for users: if they want to use bookmarks, they either have to do the work to remove the bookmarks we added there by default, or live with the default bookmarks and work around them. This means that bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are no longer a personal space which people can easily customise and/or personalise. It would provide a better user experience if we didn't include any bookmarks by default.
Do you mean the Bookmarks Toolbar? Because the Bookmarks in menu are empty. IMHO we should not remove Fedora bookmarks completely but I can imagine to move them Fedora bookmarks to one "Fedora" folder so they could be removed easily. But I think there should be something to start with for new users.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. Fedora 20 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-06-23. Fedora 20 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
