In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ipmr: fix kernel panic when forwarding mcast packets

The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2024-26626 to this issue.

This was fixed for Fedora with the 6.7.4 stable kernel updates.

Hi Zack, Mauro,

RHEL8 and RHEL9 should not be affected as we don't have the fix commit bb7403655b3c ("ipmr: support IP_PKTINFO on cache report IGMP msg"). The skb dst is set correctly before frowarding.
