Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Jan Hutař 2013-08-30 12:51:37 UTC
Description of problem:
I have just installed SAM 1.3 Snap4, configured it and the attempted to access it's webUI. I have failed because I have not added ".../sam" to the URL.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
katello-headpin-all-1.4.3-11.el6sam_splice.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. # yum install -y katello-headpin-all
2. # katello-configure --deployment=sam --user-pass=admin
3. Direct your browser to http://<fqdn>

Actual results:
Default Apache page is displayed

Expected results:
You should be redirected to https://<fqdn>/sam/

Comment 1 Tom McKay 2013-08-30 13:08:31 UTC
This is expected behavior: The suffix /sam must be included.

Comment 2 Jan Hutař 2013-08-30 15:39:43 UTC
As I do not consider this user friendly, would it be at least possible to get katello-configure print as a last line something like:

[...]
Now SAM is prepared for you on: https://<fqdn>/sam

? Thanks in advance.

Comment 3 sthirugn@redhat.com 2013-08-30 15:43:13 UTC
this needs a fix in katello. Moving the bug back to Satellite 6

Comment 4 sthirugn@redhat.com 2013-08-30 16:10:27 UTC
@Jan: We have a bug 805265 already open for your request in Comment 2. Thank you!
