What packages did you updated?

Comment 2 Eduard Vopicka 2014-05-09 14:08:08 UTC
Hello. I am probably experiencing the same problem. Using kdm + fvwm.

May 9 13:23:19 lin systemd-logind: New session 6 of user vopicka.
May 9 13:23:19 lin systemd-logind: Linked /tmp/.X11-unix/X0 to /run/user/500/X11-display.
May 9 13:23:19 lin systemd: Starting Session 6 of user vopicka.
May 9 13:23:19 lin systemd: Started Session 6 of user vopicka.
May 9 13:23:19 lin kernel: [ 998.483451] kdm[2685]: segfault at 0 ip b76ecac3 sp bfc56f00 error 4 in kdm (deleted)[b76e0000+2b000]
May 9 13:23:19 lin kernel: kdm[2685]: segfault at 0 ip b76ecac3 sp bfc56f00 error 4 in kdm (deleted)[b76e0000+2b000]
May 9 13:23:19 lin systemd-logind: Removed session 6.

After *downgrading* the following packages the problem is away:

libkworkspace
ksysguard-libs
kgreeter-plugins
kde-style-oxygen
kdm
kcm_colors
kde-workspace-libs
kde-workspace
ksysguardd
webkitgtk3
kdm-themes
perl-Test-Harness
libwebkit2gtk
ksysguard
2:microcode_ctl
webkitgtk
kdm

So maybe the culprit is one of these.

re-asigned to kdebase for the moment.

Comment 4 Rex Dieter 2014-05-09 14:23:47 UTC

Package kde-workspace-4.11.9-4.fc19:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 19 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing kde-workspace-4.11.9-4.fc19'
as soon as you are able to, then reboot.
Please go to the following url:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2014-6185/kde-workspace-4.11.9-4.fc19
then log in and leave karma (feedback).

Comment 9 nmorey 2014-05-12 12:42:50 UTC
Had this issue on Fedora 20 with the latest KDM from updates and E17 Session.
I did no thave kde-workspace installed but still installed the patched one from updates-testing (which pulled kdm and other stuff).

It's all working fine after!
systemctl restart kdm.service

Thanks
