Description of problem:
After selecting the kernel to boot (in the grub menu), machine
immediately restarts. There is no visible output of the loading kernel
messages.

kernel-2.6.5-1.327

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot the kernel
2.
3.
    

Actual Results:  machine reboot

Expected Results:  kernel load

Additional info:

Last kernel version without the problem is kernel-2.6.5-1.322.
The motherboard of the machine is ASUS pxp800, CPU P4 2.40A (Prescott)
2.4GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, 2 serial ata disks.

I have tried the kernel-2.6.5-1.332 (when it was available) with the
same results.
