Previously, when importing a virtual machine from a data storage domain, if the virtual machine had a “bad” MAC address, a MAC collision may have occurred in the target LAN. A “bad” MAC address is an address that is already in use or an address that is out of the range in the target cluster. In this release, it is possible to assign a new MAC address when importing the virtual machine from a data storage domain.

Adding scope the feature: When importing a storage domain and in the import VMs dialog, we want to have a option to reset mac from pool. This should have a select all option as well. (In reply to Yaniv Dary from comment #8) > Adding scope the feature: > When importing a storage domain and in the import VMs dialog, we want to > have a option to reset mac from pool. This should have a select all option > as well. Not sure what 'reset mac from pool' means. I assume nothing will be changed within the guest (via virt-sysprep or something?) *** Bug 1362589 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 1399936 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Verified on - 4.1.0-0.4.master.20170105161132.gitf4e2c11.el7.centos *** Bug 1435796 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
