Description of problem:

qemu hangs at start of live merge for large disk images. See BZ1262251. Upstream already got patches for the bug.

Older qemu might need slight modification in last line of patch

Jeff, is this issue fixed in RHEL 7.2 or needs to be backported to there as well? If so do you need me to open a bug on RHEL for that matter?

I handled this for fedora, I can't really speak to RHEL. Please email the relevant developers or just dupe this bug to RHEL if you aren't sure
