Per the original bug's comments, this bug is about adding the SSL selector. I added both undercloud and overcloud provider in an appliance, waited till they were refreshed and checked the commandline:

# vmdb
# cat VERSION
5.5.2.2
# egrep Excon log/*.log | egrep SSL
# egrep SSL log/*.log  # Gives a match on some package list /irrelevant)

Therefore this seems OK.
