This is possibly related to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1313715 - the incorrect size calculation could be the cause of the overlaps. I suspect there might be some Angular/Bastion code interfering with the gridster drag and drop. Managed to reproduce with upstream Katello nightly but not with Foreman.
