Description of problem:
There's kernel panic because of :
insmod : error inserting '/lib/ata_piix.ko' : -1 Unknow symbol in module

kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have a Dell Optiplex GX280 (chipset Intel) with hyperthreading activated
2.yum update kernel
3.reboot
  

Actual Results:  kernel panic as described above

Expected Results:  should boot

Additional info:

The non-smp kernel boots without problem.
The chipset is :Intel Grantsdale 915
