Description of problem:
gtkglext 1.1.0 has just been released, offering compatibility with GTK+ 2.8. The
current version does not allow gai-pal to be linked against it due to missing
Pango references; please update.

1. rebuild gai-pal against gtkglext 1.0.6

gtkglext-1.2.0 is now in FE/development

Could you please check if this fixes PR 179309?
