Though downgrading the kernel solves the problem, https://github.com/linuxwacom/input-wacom/issues/230#issuecomment-764589102 may indicate libwacom is also involved. On my Lenovo Yoga X1 2nd generation, kernel-5.10.8, touching the screen with a stylus (the built-in one or a Bamboo pen) instantly locks the entire machine. kernel-5.10.7 works fine. The libwacom bug describes my issue exactly, but it works fine with the 5.10.7 kernel and only shows up with the 5.10.8 one. I have the same machine and experienced exactly the same symptom. Touching the screen with the stylus locks the system with kernels 5.10.8 and 5.10.9. I have reverted to kernel 5.10.7 at the moment. In the input-wacom thread above, it has been solved in kernel 5.10.10 in arch. I tried the koji RPMs, the problem is still there. That was a kernel patched by Arch. Hopefully, this patch can be added here soon. I tried the solution in https://github.com/linuxwacom/input-wacom/issues/230#issuecomment-766953885 with kernel 5.10.10 and it works! I have the same issue, I after updating to 5.10, touching the screen with the stylus locks up the system, and I have to hold power button to restart. I will try the fix in the github link. Fedora kernel 5.10.11 solves the issue, at least in my laptop. Thanks!
