Comment 1 Juliano F. Ravasi 2006-06-04 02:19:45 UTC
Confirmed here.

amaroK reports: "Sorry, the 'gst-engine' could not be loaded, instead we have
loaded the 'helix-engine'."

GStreamer is no longer listed in preferences, and so, there is absolutely no way
to play MP3 on amaroK anymore.

Downgrading to amarok-1.4-0.12.beta3 fixed the problem, but amarok issued a
warning saying that the KDE database was corrupted, and there wasn't any
plugins. amaroK fixed it itself and now it seems everything ok.

Sugestion for this report:
  Product -> Fedora Extras
  Version -> fc5
  Component -> amarok

Comment 3 Juliano F. Ravasi 2006-06-22 21:16:32 UTC
Please, reporter, fix the "Product" and "Component" fields as suggested in
comment #2, so the right people will take attention on this bug.
