(I think the original bug report was confusing/badly worded: IIUC this is about the rendering of the backtick (open quote) symbol, not about grave accent, right?) That does make more sense. Now that it's worded that way, I know what you are talking about because I've seen it. I'm glad that I now know it is a bug because I was just about ready to fix someones documentation. (Note: none of that is sarcasm. I really was about to fix someones documentation because of this.) Current packages has some problems. 1. containing duplicate fonts 2. providing non-variable and variable fonts in one place. this is also functionally duplicate. we should have separate packages for them. 3. variable fonts is apparently buggy. it causes a crash on gnome-terminal say. although it can be worked around by fontconfig config. I file a separate bug for that. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For information on the advisory (redhat-fonts bug fix and enhancement update), and where to find the updated files, follow the link below. If the solution does not work for you, open a new bug report. https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2022:8245 |
