Description Orion Poplawski 2026-04-22 01:57:12 UTC
I've requested texlive-biblatex to be build for EPEL9 and am starting to work on requesting the dep chain:

texlive-biblatex -> biber -> many others

It would also be nice to get EPEL10 ready as well.

If you do not wish to maintain biber in epel,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS orion);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/biber/adduser

Reproducible: Always

Which biber version? The currently latest one (biber-2.21)? texlive-biblatex and biber need to agree on biblatex control file version.

Good question. Than - can you address what version of biber we would want in EPEL9 and EPEL10?

Comment 3 Than Ngo 2026-04-22 15:24:55 UTC
EPEL9 includes TexLive-2020, so we need Biber-2.14. For EPEL10, we need Biber-2.20, since it includes TexLive-2024
