Description
Fedora Fails To Install
2026-09-21 16:05:52 UTC
If you do a build that's bumps the .so version it's your job to announce it on devel list and arrange the rebuild of dependant packages. (In reply to leigh scott from comment #1) > If you do a build that's bumps the .so version it's your job to announce it > on devel list and arrange the rebuild of dependant packages. sorry, didn't do my homework, found out myself the hard way that the package is not as isolated :-( is there any detailed document? - I've found just this: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Package_maintainer_responsibilities/#_notify_others_of_changes_that_may_affect_their_packages this doesn't give much clue how to "arrange the rebuild of dependant packages" ... looking around, seems I need to be provenpackager, or need to ask one - Leigh, pretty please with sugar on top, could you do the rebuild for this, and also audacious-plugins-exotic is affected ...? Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically by https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tooling/src/branch/main/release-process/bug-filing/follow-policy/follow_policy.py If you feel that this output has mistakes, please open an issue at https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues All subpackages of a package against which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 46. Thanks for taking care of it! Hi, I updated mpd yesterday so that's fixed, it needed updating anyway. audacious-plugins-exotic (audacious-plugins) is ftbfs due to Run-time dependency libsidplayfp found: YES 3.1.1 Found CMake: /usr/bin/cmake (4.3.0) Run-time dependency libresidfp found: NO (tried pkg-config and cmake) src/sid/meson.build:8: WARNING: The SID plugin was disabled because your libsidplayfp installation lacks ReSIDfp support. Make sure it was built with the optional libresidfp dependency. Run-time dependency sndfile found: YES 1.2.2 Run-time dependency ogg found: YES 1.3.6 Processing files: audacious-plugins-exotic-4.6.1-8.fc46.x86_64 error: File not found: /builddir/build/BUILD/audacious-plugins-4.6.1-build/BUILDROOT/usr/lib64/audacious/Input/sid.so RPM build errors: File not found: /builddir/build/BUILD/audacious-plugins-4.6.1-build/BUILDROOT/usr/lib64/audacious/Input/sid.so Child return code was: 1 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=3105993 it seems libsidplayfp has a missing buildep for the new version checking for x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu-pkg-config... /usr/bin/x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu-pkg-config checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes checking for libresidfp >= 1.0.0... no configure: WARNING: Package 'libresidfp' not found checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E checking for egrep -e... (cached) /usr/bin/grep -E checking whether gcc is Clang... no You will to to raise the issue with the audacious-plugins to discuss any possible fix. ok, thanks aww, libresidfp got split so it will need a new package ... hope I'll get to it this week Ok, here it is: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2539303 |
