Description James Ralston 2008-03-03 01:36:44 UTC
For my Dell Latitude D600 laptop, xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-2.fc9.i386 segfaults at
startup. This leaves the laptop panel off; the only way I've found to get it to
come back on is to reboot.

I'm not completely sure, but I think 6.8.0-1 was ok; the crashing started with
6.8.0-2.

Comment 4 James Ralston 2008-03-03 01:40:23 UTC
I can reproduce the crash both with and without /etc/X11/xorg.conf being
present. (The files I attached above were with /etc/X11/xorg.conf *not*
present; the X server autodetected everything.)

Comment 5 Dave Airlie 2008-03-03 01:59:21 UTC
actually a server upgrade most likely broke things, but a new ati driver is in
koji now.. should land in rawhide soon...

Looks like duplicate of bug 435382 to me.
