Description of problem:
When I enable beagle's thunderbird indexer, it leaves masses of files in of the form /tmp/tmp*.tmp.

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable beagle
2.Enable beagle-thunderbird

Actual results:
Lots of files left in /tmp

Expected results:
No stray tmp files

Changing to high severity, because this bug makes the package unusable.  It's equivalent to a severe memory leak.

I tryed to reproduce this but failed.
It creates files in tmp while indexing the mails but they get removed once the indexing is done. 
What might be happening in your case is that you shutdown thunderbird while it is indexing mails and therefore the files never get deleted.

Can you confirm this?

No, that's definitely not the case.  If I enable the thunderbird beagle extension and leave it running for a little while - a minute or two - then there'll be new files accumulating in /tmp.  The longer it runs, the more files accumulate.

I use imap to fetch the mail, and I'm subscribed to high-traffic lists like the linux-kernel mailing list.

OK, please file an upstream bug (bugzilla.gnome.org) and post the bug id here.I wont have time to look at it in detail until next weekend, but if there is an upstream patch I can add it during the week.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 10 development cycle.
Changing version to '10'.
