Description Nalin Dahyabhai 2009-03-23 18:46:12 UTC
We need something that uses FIPS libraries to compute HMAC values. This is one.

Comment 1 Irina Boverman 2009-03-24 14:54:16 UTC
This is a requirement for FIPS-140 validation to allow kernel integrity checking and self testing. Originally is was filed as a request to coreutils package, but because this utility needs to be very small (it will be installed in the build root directory), it is being repackaged as a separate package.
