The latest build microcode_ctl-1.17-1.49.fc12 is still missing an i586 subpackage. Is there a reason for this omission? I have installed microcode_ctl-1.17-1.46.fc10.i386 on a current "rawhide" system, and according to the system log, the CPU microcode is actually successfully updated to the latest version provided by INTEL. Adding Dave J. the specfile has an exclusivearch for 'i386', which is why a build never happened. It should be built on 686. I'll push it out. This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component. Rebuilt for i586 on F-11 and devel/. microcode_ctl-1.17-1.51.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 11. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/microcode_ctl-1.17-1.51.fc11 *** Bug 505815 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** microcode_ctl-1.17-1.51.fc11 has been pushed to the Fedora 11 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
