Perhaps empathy needs an update similar to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=507279

On connection, empathy just says "Network error".  Shell console and debug console don't provide anything terribly useful.

Thanks for the bug link, Christopher. I've committed that patch to the package in Rawhide (it should hit tomorrow's push). Similar updates are test-building in mock for F-10 and F-11. :)

Make that F-11 only for now. I forgot for a moment that the telepathy-glib in F-10 is too old for Haze 0.3.x - sorry for the confusion.

telepathy-haze-0.3.1-1.fc11 has been pushed to the Fedora 11 testing repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
 If you want to test the update, you can install it with 
 su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update telepathy-haze'.  You can provide feedback for this update here: http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F11/FEDORA-2009-8599
