Confirmed. Rather odd to my eyes that when I ask fontconfig for "a font like Lohit Gujarati that has '1' in it (Lohit Gujarati doesn't have numbers) that I get back "Lohit Gujarati", which doesn't have those glyphs. grr... I'll make a test-case and ask behdad if we're doing this the wrong way or what the story there is. I can alleviate the symptoms a bit and remove the obvious cases, but the fundamental issue will remain.
