Works fine for me, what you are probably seeing is a (video card specific) issue in mesa, changing component to mesa. Can you please tell us which video card you have and attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log ? Created attachment 369006 [details]
Xorg.0.log
Hey Hans, $ lspci | grep -E 'VGA|Display' 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) *** Bug 537572 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 537573 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** 2 Notes from the dups: 1) ogre-samples is crashing with ATI cards too 2) chess (an ogre using application) is having issues too Both work fine on a (don't shoot me) machine with an nvidia card and nvidia's binary drivers. Xorg.0.log file from a rv280 based system.
I am also running mesa 7.6-0.14.fc12 which I don't think is an update yet.
I'll be able to try it on an rv530 tomorrow.
I tried this on an rv530 and when I exited Orge-Samples I didn't get a segfault message. I don't get segfault messages when exiting normally since upgrading to F13 (though I am still running the 2.6.31 kernel due to other problems). Running chess using FBO instead of pbuffer still crashes the game. There is a traceback from abrt in bug 539937 that might be related to this. *** Bug 541196 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 544988 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 547079 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 551497 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 552298 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Heureka, ogre ogre-1.6.4-3.fc12.i686 works for me. ogre-samples-1.6.4-5.fc13.x86_64 work for me using open-source nouveau driver for Nvidia and I notice a good speed improvement on them when I put mesa-dri-drivers-experimental into the mix. This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '12'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
